چکیده

Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Introduction The activation pattern induced ventricular fibrillation (VF) in Brugada Syndrome (BS) is not well known. Objectives aim to establish a hypothesis about temporal the right ventricle (RV) during VF BS patients. Methods We examined sequence electrical RV by programmed stimulation (PS) 8 patients diagnosed with BS. 12 ECG leads were analyzed and electrograms (EGMs) recorded from quadripolar catheter placed apex or outflow tract (RVOT), which was induced. Results recordings EGMs RVOT 6 2 respectively. From onset appearance sinusoidal waves, three areas observed based on morphology timing EGM: apex, moderator band (MB), RVOT. first activated area coincided where second MB Following activation, signal appeared no being distinguished. Activation toward 3 Conclusion In Syndrome, sequential vice versa through band.

Electrophysiologic characteristics and implications of induced ventricular fibrillation in symptomatic patients with Brugada syndrome.

OBJECTIVES The study examined the electrocardiographic and electrophysiologic characteristics in relation to programmed ventricular stimulation (PVS)-induced ventricular fibrillation (VF), as well as the implications of PVS-induced VF on the recurrence of cardiac events in symptomatic Brugada syndrome. BACKGROUND Brugada syndrome is characterized by ST-segment elevation in the right precordia...

Epicardial radiofrequency catheter ablation of Brugada syndrome with electrical storm during ventricular fibrillation

RATIONALE Brugada syndrome (BrS) is characterized by ST segment elevation at the J point ≥2 mm in the right precordial electrocardiogram (ECG) leads, in the absence of structural heart disease, electrolyte disturbances, or ischemia. It is a well-described cause of sudden death in young patients, especially in the age of between 30 and 40 years old. Here, we reported an unusual case of electrica...

Electrocardiographic Patterns during Resuscitation after Experimentally Induced Ventricular Fibrillation.

• A variety of resuscitative measures are being employed currently both in experimental studies and in clinical episodes of cardiac arrest." While survival is certainly the best means of determining the efficacy of these resuscitative procedures, it would be valuable to be able to differentiate between those marginal techniques which are successful occasionally and others which might be respons...

Delay in right ventricular activation contributes to Brugada syndrome.

BACKGROUND Although Brugada syndrome revolves around reduced net depolarizing force, the electrophysiological mechanisms of its defining features (right precordial ST-segment elevation and ventricular tachyarrhythmias) remain unresolved. Two proposed mechanisms are (1) right ventricular (RV) conduction delay and (2) selective and significant RV subepicardial action potential shortening. Both me...

Atrial fibrillation and Brugada syndrome.

Brugada syndrome is characterized by right bundle branch block pattern with ST-segment elevation in leads V(1) to V(3) and a propensity for sudden cardiac death due to ventricular arrhythmias. The arrhythmogenic substrate in Brugada syndrome may not be restricted to the ventricles, and atrial arrhythmias are being increasingly reported. Incidences of spontaneous atrial arrhythmias vary from 6% ...
